SUMMARY:Members Only Preview and Private Curator Tour: Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow
DESCRIPTION:Museum of Miami Members are invited to an exclusive first view and private curator lead tour of Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow\,  organized by the New-York Historical Society. N-YHS Curator\, Lily Wong\, will give an exclusive tour of the exhibition that explores the struggle for full citizenship and racial equality that unfolded in the 50 years after the Civil War. In a special Miami section\, guests will hear Stories of Resistance from Black Miami\, an oral history project that captures Black Miami’s long and ongoing struggle\, resistance\, and resilience in response to racial injustice. Complimentary light bites and cocktails sponsored by Bacardi will be served. The reception is free with registration. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nLead support for the exhibition provided by National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the Human Endeavor.
