Discover new connections, enjoy engaging conversations, and experience the museum after hours at We Met at Miami Civics Club! In partnership with Miami Freedom Project for Democracy and We Met in Miami, this special evening features a museum scavenger hunt, a civic connection happy hour, and facilitated small-group conversations to bring people together.
Whether you’re looking to expand your network, make new friends, or simply enjoy a unique night out, this is your chance to connect in one of Miami’s most inspiring spaces. Bring a friend and share an evening of conversation, community, and connection.
Here’s what to expect:
6:30 p.m. Arrival and happy hour. Check in, choose your wristbands and make your name tag. Grab a glass of wine and start mingling.
7 p.m. Opening and icebreaker. We’ll start with some introductions and a civic icebreaker designed to help you connect with your representatives and neighbors.
7:20 p.m. Scavenger hunt. In a small group, you’ll explore the Museum of Miami’s Tropical Dreams exhibit, hunting for hidden historical clues and competing for prizes.
8:15 p.m. Small group conversations. Dive deeper into important issues from Miami’s past and present during facilitated conversations.
8:45 p.m. Group photo and mingle.
9 p.m. Event end. Meet someone cool? Fill out a Connection Card! If you match, We Met in Miami will reconnect you after the event.

Museum of Miami, a Smithsonian Affiliate located in downtown Miami, safeguards and shares Miami stories to foster learning, inspire a sense of place, and cultivate an engaged community. The museum connects people by telling the stories of local communities, individuals, places, and events.
We Met Community Connection is a nonprofit creating spaces for adults 21+ to find love, friendship, and community through shared interests and values. Since 2024, thousands of attendees have participated in curated, facilitated experiences designed to spark meaningful connections. Now with two chapters: We Met in Miami and We Met in Broward.
Miami Freedom Project for Democracy supports new Americans on their path to naturalization and civic participation in Miami. MFP for Democracy is home to Miami Civics Club, a nonpartisan civic education group fostering an informed and active electorate by providing a space for learning, conversation, and empowerment.
