Free Students Entry on “No Class” Days

  • Explore your sense of belonging here!
  • Your Miami Story: Make your family’s story a part of Miami’s living history in the Museum of Miami’s Kaleidoscope- Many Voices-One Miami!
  • Turn school breaks into a historical adventure! All students are invited to experience the Museum of Miami completely for free on select dates when school is out during the 2026-2027 school year.

Available 2026-2027 Dates

  • Teacher Planning Days: Friday, December 18, 2026, and/or Wednesday, March 10, 2027.
  • Winter Recess: Wednesday, December 23, 2026.
  • Spring Break: Wednesday, March 24, Thursday, March 25, and/or Friday, March 26, 2027.
  • Hours of Operation: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
  • Requirements: Advance registration is required, and any student under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Shape the Future by Exploring the Past: Earn Secondary Community Service Credit

Are you in middle or high school?  Explore your sense of belonging here! Earn community service credit while building critical historical thinking skills and enjoying our exhibits completely for free.

How to Earn Your Certificate

  • Explore (2 Hours): Enjoy our dynamic exhibits on self-guided tours.
  • Analyze (1 Hour): After your tour time has expired, complete the Museum of Miami’s Think Like a Historian Student Feedback and Reflection Survey.
  • Achieve: Turn in your completed survey to receive your official Museum of Miami Community Service Certificate validating your 3 completed hours.

Available Program Times

  • Weekends: Saturdays or Sundays from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
  • “No Class” Days: Available on the 2026-2027 dates listed above (December 18, December 23, March 10, and March 24-26).

Program Requirements

Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times.

There is a strict limit of 3 community service credit hours per student.

You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Museum of Miami (MM) or the person or entity designated to do so by Museum of Miami (MM) You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the premise.
