Cultures collide during this one-of-a-kind performance of tango music sung in the Yiddish language. Artist-in-residence Alejandra Czarny brings a twist to the weekly TanLunes tango gathering in Hallandale Beach. Drawing from her roots in Buenos Aires and her Jewish upbringing, she weaves the threads of her cultural heritage into something new during this unique tango experience. Joined by dancers Rocío Leguizamón and Germán Filipeli, Alejandra brings the emotional depth of Yiddish song to the expressive movement of Argentine tango. Featured guest musicians include Michel Gonzalez, Carlos Andrade, and Kenny Aponte.
Guests are invited to experience a milonga, where dancers of all levels come together to enjoy an evening of dance, music, and community! If you’d like to take a lesson before the milonga and performance, arrive at 7:30 pm for a tango dance workshop (extra $5 charge).
